Glottage, at present, is the capital of The Peninsula. It is a city composed of districts, of which we know one in the south of Glottage to be called the Furnace District, and another area being called Miller's Bank. Its primary gods seem to be The Slag King and the Saint Electric, with the Saint Electric's preference for radio being the greatest limiter on the spread of internet within the Peninsula.

CenSec And The Summit

Adjudicator Shrue lives and works in Glottage during the war. They attend CenSec meetings at the Moridame and a Summit at Greater Glottage University.

The Blackout

During the war, Glottage refuses to implement a blackout despite blackouts taking place across the rest of the Peninsula.

Shrue and Cross

Adjudicator Shrue and Adjudicator Cross drink at a bar in Glottage regularly.

Hayward Returns Home

Carpenter and Hayward visit the estate that Hayward grew up on to check on his mother. They then approach Shrue and arrange to meet at the Floating Market. There they decide to head to Greater Glottage Radio to try and spread the word of the Many Below.

The GGR Incident

The Greater Glottage Radio Incident, which results in the death of Adjudicator Shrue and later becomes the scapegoat for the attack in Glottage.

The Victory Day Massacre

Shortly after Shrue's broadcast and death at GGR, the Parish of Tide and Flesh set off the Wither Mark during the Glottage Day Parade. The miracles results in the deaths of thousands. A quarantine is announced and Glottage is locked down to prevent the spread of the miracle.

Trivia

• When asked about the origin of the names of the two capitals, the creators responded: "To get to 'Glottage' you’ve got glottis, clot, blot, maybe even spillage - so an immediate sense of richness and density: staining, suffocating, pollution, spreading, viscosity, which made sense for how Carpenter describes the city way back when. 'Nesh' was just the polar opposite of Glottage - a fast, modern, metallic word without any meat on it."
